Active X feature of your browser helps you to prevent spying actions on your computer and activity. The internet browser is the most vulnerable item in the windows personal computer and if you have not taken steps to allow the active x or the active x is damaged then your computer system and the important information are at risk. However you can easily change the setting to allow the active x and also repair the active X if it has been damaged.So lets learn step by step about how to allow active X on your internet explorer browser which you use to open the world wide websites. So first of all double click on the internet explorer icon present on your desktop. Now click on the tools option which is present on the top menu bar of the browser. As soon as you click on the tool options a drop down window will show up with some options from which you have to choose the right option. Each of these options allows you to change some of the  settings  which has been set by default on your browser and already programmed into Internet Explorer  browser.Now click on the internet options link which is present at the end of the drop down box. Now a window will pop up on the screen. You have to select the security option to enable the active X option.You can find several zones with multiple security settings on the screen. With built up preset setting present in each zone, you would have to change the settings to fit your current need. You can click the “Reset All Zones to Default Level” to change them back to the default level it was programmed initially.Now you have to click on the internet zone to allow ActiveX controls to run. The icon looking like earth is the one which you have to click.Now select and alter the level of  security for the “Internet” zone. You have to change from the default setting of  Medium-high zone to Medium. By holding the mouse and dragging the slide the bar up and down between the different security zones you can adjust the setting. This allows a lower security browsing environment for you.Now you can go further  to enable the active X controls. For this you would have to click the Custom Level button. Look for the Settings menu and search for ActiveX Controls and Plug-ins options. generally to provide a secure environment these options are disabled.Now you can click on the button to change the setting from disabled to enable. So finally you have successfully enabled the active X.
